As the 2015 Chunyun travel rush came to an end on March 15, Sanya Phoenix Int’l Airport received about 2.4 million passengers and 14,708 flights during the process, up 2.84% and 1.42%, respectively, compared to last year’s.
 
During the 40-day holiday travel peak, the airport handled 368 flights and 60,000 passengers daily. Popular flight routes to Sanya were mainly from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
 
Sanya airport saw its travel peak on February 26 as the passenger volume hit 64,407 that day.
 
Besides, Sanya Long-distance Bus Station offered 560 vehicles daily during the holiday period and transported 440,000 passengers in total, which set a new record high this year.
