Haitang Bay Duty-Free Mall sees sales of RMB236 mln during CNY holiday
The Sanya Haitang Bay Duty-Free Mall became a must-visit ‘tourist spot’ in Sanya during the 2015 Chinese New Year holiday. According to the relevant tourism authority, the store welcomed 219,800 visitors and sales generating from it reached 236 million yuan total.
Sanya’s duty-free store also offered a series of discounts and prize drawings, which caused quite a shopping frenzy among tourists during the Chinese New Year holiday. The counters for perfume and cosmetics were packed with tourists, as usual.
The Haitang Bay Duty-Free Store is the world’s largest duty-free store, which opened on September 1st, 2015. The new Haitang Bay Duty-Free Store covers 120,000sqm of commercial space with nearly 300 brands.
“We see further potential for growth. Sanya is becoming more and more recognized by suppliers, and we are looking to select the most sought-after brands’, said the manager of the China Duty-Free Group Sanya Haitang Bay Duty-Free Store.
