Artists from across China recently assembled in Sanya to witness a gala cultural event in Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort.
 
 
The event, entitled "Sanya•Haitang Bay", is an invitation-only Chinese painting exhibition by acclaimed artists.
 
 
A wide array of Chinese painting created by the distinguished contemporary artists are on display at the event, such as watercolor paintings of shrimps, fish, birds, insects and flowers, which vividly reflect the beauty of nature. Visitors are visibly moved as they walked among and spent time taking in the works of the famous artists.
 
Aiming to build Sanya into a capital of culture and art, the Sanya government has attached great importance to the cultural development in recent years by launching a series of cultural products and activities including the large-scale cultural performances of Sanya Qianguqing, Sanya Art Season and ‘LuHo Sanya’ New Year Carnival. In addtition, the construction of the Sanya International Art Center in Haitang Bay in near future will be an important factor in continuing this development.
