200,000 cars are expected to flock to Sanya for self-guided tours during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, according to the Sanya Tourism Development Commission.
According to the local tourism bureau, major scenic spots in the city have added more parking lots recently, in order to meet the huge demand created by the influx of self-driving tourists during the holidays. Meanwhile, the government has also built 19 temporary parking lots. There will be a total of 3,800 available parking spaces.
Meanwhile, Sanya will issue its latest traffic information in time to help self-driving tourists avoid traffic jams in the city.
It is estimated that the number of the overnight tourists in Sanya will hit 800,000, a year-on-year increase of 15%.
