Sanya Railway Station has been ordered to make full preparations for an expected surge in passenger flow which may begin on February 8th, 2015.

More than 640,000 passengers, mainly migrant workers and college students, are expected to embark on their homeward journey for family reunions during the Spring Festival rush, which will last for 40 days from February 4 till March 15, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%.

To handle the passenger flow, the Sanya Railway Station has adjusted its bullet train schedule to offer 30 pairs of bullet trains at travel peak periods. Meanwhile, the railway authority is planning to open more ticket counters and ticket selling machines in the train station. Ticket windows in the railway station operate from 6:00am to 00:30am to provide a convenient ticket-buying experience.
