The Honggang Market, one of the most popular tropical fruit and seafood wholesale markets in Sanya, is relocating to the New Mall Town in Jiyang District.

Located between Yingbin Road and Yuya Road, the new look of the Honggang Market will be the city’s largest comprehensive agricultural byproducts market and will start trial operations on February 6th.

Covering a construction area of 242,000 square meters, the New Mall Town is divided into three zones, which features a large-scale supermarket, a shopping center, a Qilou arcade-style walking street, an underground shopping mall, a food square, a seafood processing square, hotels for residents as well as a more leisurely environment providing better entertainment options to visitors.

Over 300 tons of vegetables, 100 tons of fruits and 1.5 tons of seafood are being handled daily by the existing market and residents, where tourists and traders face many inconveniences due to limited space and poor maintenance.
