An estimated 800,000 overnight tourists are expected to flock to Sanya during the 2015 Spring Festival holiday, a year-on-year increase of 15%. To gear up for the weeklong Golden Week holiday, the Sanya government is planning to add 500 new taxis to meet the increasing demand for taxis in the city.
 
These new taxis will run in appointed places at appointed times, especially during holiday periods, according to the responsible department in Sanya.     
 
Besides, 30 shuttle buses to Phoenix Airport were put into service recently. 20 buses operate on the Phoenix Airport-Sanya Bay-Dadonghai route and the rest operate on the Phoenix Airport-Yalong Bay expressway route.
 
The Dadonghai-Phoenix Airport bus service starts at 7:30am everyday and the Yalong Bay- Phoenix Airport buses depart at 7:00am. Meanwhile, the returning bus service runs from 8:30am till the last flight of the day.
 
Meanwhile, Sanya is planning to build 54 temporary parking lots to ease parking problems, offering more than 10,000 parking spaces. Major scenic spots in the city have been improving their parking facilities to cope with the influx of visitors.
