Sanya launches promotions for 82 US tour operators
To enlarge the overseas tourism market, Sanya recently launched promotional activities for 82 tour operators, who have taken inspection tours of China.
According to the local tourism authorities, Sanya’s efforts to build itself into a world-class tourist destination encountered a setback last year as fewer foreigners visited than the past two years.
Fiercer regional competition and a lack of international flights and special tourism products are the main factors for the decline.
Sanya, with its unique tropical tourism resources, is still very attractive to American tourists. During the promotion, the Sanya delegation discussed a number of opportunities to further explore the local market with US large-scale travel operators.
