Visitors during the fleet’s stopover can also enjoy concerts and displays, such as Hainan ethnic handcrafts exhibition and graffiti canvas arts. The 25,000-square-metre waterfront village will be the centre of three weeks of sports, entertainment and leisure.

The first sailboats in the fleet are expected to arrive on their 4,670-nautical mile three leg from Abu Dhabi on January 27th.

Team Area
 
The village features 18 exhibition areas, including Volvo Pavilion, Dongfeng Pavilion and SCA & Vinda Kids Play Pavilion.
 
The Activity Area also features a 40 Knot Experience to let visitors feel the thrill and experience the speed of Volvo Ocean Race.
 
The village has four distinctive, interactive zones covering culture and heritage, adventure, family, exhibitions, race teams, and the environment.
 
The village opens from January 24, until February 8, when the fleet will leave on its fourth leg of the race, to Auckland, New Zealand. Entry is free.
