According to the recent statistics released by elong.com, a leading travel portal in China, Sanya ranked 6th amongst the top 10 popular tourist destinations in China last year.
 
The other 9 popular tourist destinations on the list were Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Xiamen, Xi’an, Qingdao and Wuhan.
 
Sanya has positioned itself as an international tourism city and a world-class seaside holiday destination after Hainan province began to construct itself as an international tourism island in 2010.
 
The city has a duty-free policy and high-end tourism products, such as cruise and yacht services. It also provides professional honeymoon services and wedding ceremony services, as well as conventions and exhibitions.
 
In addition, Sanya has made great progress in public service and marketing for tourism, which has brought the city a good reputation for its tourism products and brand image at home and abroad.
