Sanya unveils expansion plan for leisure agriculture tourism
Sanya recently unveiled its expansion plan for the development of leisure agriculture tourism between 2014 and 2020.
According to the plan, five major leisure tourism developments will be built in the next few years, namely, the Yazhou ancient village, forest tours, folk culture and leisure entertainment, creative parks and leisure fishing as well as international healthcare properties.
The number of national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration sites is expected to reach 15 in the next few years, including 10 five-star demonstration sites. In order to achieve this target, the strategic leisure agriculture industry should achieve an annual growth rate of 15% between 2014 and 2020.
Additionally, the relevant departments are working on supportive policies to better guide the development of the city’s leisure agriculture and rural tourism industry.
