According to the Sanya Railway Station, the 2015 New Year holiday travel peak began on December 31st, 2014 and will end on January 3rd, 2015, bringing a large amount of passengers to the station. An estimated 55,300 passengers are expected to travel through the Sanya Railway Station during the period.
 
The majority of the passenger flow will be tourist, people visiting family and students.
 
During the period, the daily passenger flow of the regular-speed trains is expected to exceed 520  people and thepassenger flow of the Hainan Eastern Ring Railway during the holiday period is expected to reach 53,200 people.
