In order to promote the cuisine culture of Sanya, a cooking contest was held to represent Sanya’s top creative dishes and select the most promising cooking stars.
 
As a supporting event of the 15th Hainan Carnival, the 6th Sanya International Food Carnival 2014 opened on December 27th at Luneng Sanya Bay and will run until January 3rd, 2015.
 
 
The opening ceremony was held around 4:30pm at Beauty Mall, Luneng Sanya Bay. The 8-day food fiesta has attracted 80 exhibition booths, showcasing a wide selection of Chinese regional delicacies.

Sanya’s Top 10 Chefs, Top 10 Executive Chefs, Top 10 Chinese Food Master Chefs and Top 10 Western Food Master Chefs were unveiled at the opening ceremony
 
At the same time, a variety of international food weeks will be taking place in Sanya’s many international brand hotels, with food from Italy, Thailand, France, Germany and other countries being displayed.
 
In addition, 8 evening galas with different themes are scheduled to be held during the food carnival.
