Sanya has taken efforts recently to regulate the city’s car rental firms to help achieve a healthy development of the sector.

 

A comprehensive enforcement on the car rental market has been launched by a multi-sectoral cooperation mechanism to better regulate the industry.

 

The car rental service market is growing with the increasing development of self-driving travel to Sanya. However, unregistered car rental companies have caused a lack of protection for tourist’s legitimate rights and interests when there is a dispute.

 

Can rental firms that are found to be violating the law by operating beyond their legal limits will be fined between 30,000 yuan to 100,000 yuan.

 

The authorities are encouraging tourists to report any distributors and organizations suspected of operating illegal car rental businesses.
