Construction on 25 new temporary parking lots in the urban area of Sanya is now underway. The new parking lots will offer an additional 5,193 parking spaces.

 

Along with heavy traffic congestion, the lack of parking lots in Sanya has been a development woe for the city. The project aims to ease the parking problems across the city during the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday. 

 

16 new parking lots will be built in Tianya District and 9 will be built in Jiyang District, providing 3,108 new parking spaces in the two districts upon completion.

  

Apart from the construction of temporary parking lots, Sanya is speeding up the construction of permanent parking lots as well, including the Yuechuan Parking Garage, Linchun Parking Garage and Jiahun Parking Garage.
