2014 9th Sanya Bicycle Race to kick off December 27th
The annual 2014 Sanya Bicycle Race will kick off on December 27th, 2014.
The 2-day competition features a road race and a mountain biking race, which will take place at Yuxin Road near Sanya Railway Station and Nanxin Farm, respectively.
The competition is divided into four groups: men’s road bicycle (80 km), men’s mountain bicycle (30 km), women’s mountain bicycle (12km) and women’s road bicycle (50 km).
According to the organizing committee, cyclists will compete for a prize purse of RMB 56,000.
Established in 2006, the bicycle race has grown a great deal in not only promoting the sport of cycling but also in advocating the idea of an urban low-carbon lifestyle.
