The grand opening ceremony of the 5th Tsinghua Sanya International Mathematics Forum (TSIMF) kicked off on the morning of December 15th, 2014.
 
The most talented mathematicians and famous mathemats masters from around the world, major government officials and many student representatives attended the opening ceremony. The Fourth Conference of TSIMF will last until December 19th.  
 
Following the grand opening, the Master Lectures on Mathematics for 2014 and 4 subject-specific seminars will be held during the period.
 
The TSIMF is the first of this type in Asia, under the strong support of Tsinghua University, Hainan Provincial Government and Sanya Municipal government. It is intended to become a world-class international conference center holding workshops and international conferences in mathematics in Sanya all year long.
 
In 2015, there will be more than 20 international academic forums launched at the TSIMF permanent site in Sanya.
