According to the relevant Sanya departments, construction is set to begin on the Nanshan Dacheng Cultural Tourism Zone soon.
 
The Dacheng Cultural Tourism Zone is another window on China’s traditional Confucius culture, as well as an important part of the development of Pan Nanshan culture, Tao culture (at Daxiaodongtian Park), and Buddhist culture (at the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone). 
 
Located 40 km west of downtown Sanya, the site covers a land area of 5,523 acres with an investment of 6.5 billion yuan and will be completed in 8 years.
 
After its completion, the Dacheng Cultural Tourism Zone will be a comprehensive cultural complex, featuring Confucius cultural practice, an education base, healthcare travel and holiday resources, and ecological sightseeing.
