According to the Sanya’s municipal urban developing plan, 1,400 acres of new green space will be built in the near future.

The city’s Planning Bureau said that they have begun selecting sites for the new green spaces, and 41 sites have been confirmed so far.

The green spaces will be built along urban roads, the coast and also in places designed for public entertainment.

Authorities said public green space is not only attractive to visitors, but it also improves residents’ quality of life as it provides the opportunity for people to exercise and enhance their mental and physical well-being.
