According to the Sanya Transportation Operation and Management Bureau, 5 taxi drivers have been dismissed by their companies for violating industry rules.
 
An undercover operation by transport officials confirmed that these 5 taxi drivers were witnessed refusing to take passengers, bargaining on price and soliciting clients to the scenic spots at the Summer Mall area.
 
Each of them were given a 20 point deduction for breaking the rules and were blacklisted and will not be allowed to work in the taxi business for 5 years.
 
For any complaints about taxi drivers, the Sanya transportation chiefs are calling for passengers to use their mobile devices to obtain evidence of malpractice by the taxi drivers. Contact 0898-88667803.
