Representatives from 40 Russian travel agencies met with local tourism operators in Sanya, in a bid to boost tourism cooperation, on December 3rd.

Sanya has been the major tourist destination for tourists from Russian due to its rich tourism resources and favorable visa policies.

This year, the Sanya tourist market has seen a significant decline in the number of arrivals from Russia. According to local travel agents, fiercer regional competition and the lack of international flights and rising tour prices are the main factors for the decline.

Both sides in the tourism industry have been seeking promotional opportunities to give some suggestions for the sectors to design more tailored tourism products for Russian tourists so that they can enjoy top-quality holiday and leisure vacations here.
