A campaign launched by the Sanya government to create a neat tourism environment for tourists in preparation for the upcoming New Year and Spring Festival holidays has received high praise recently from netizens.

Sanya recently launched a 100-day-long campaign to improve the tourism environment across the city starting in November.

After media exposure on the illegal outdoor BBQ stands in Sanya Bay, the local authorities launched joint efforts to regulate the outdoor BBQ businesses in response to the public’s concern for the environment at beaches nearby.

Meanwhile, many outdoor buildings along the roads, including at Luhuitou Square and on Linchun River Road and Jinjiling Road, have been altered or torn down.

Aside from this, local departments have launched a citywide campaign to improve traffic efficiency and reduce traffic accidents.
