Sanya ranks first in culture industry investment among the cities and counties in Hainan, according to the statistics released by the Sanya Cultural Industry Development Office.
 
In recent years, Sanya has been striving to upgrade its cultural attractions so as to make them more attractive to tourists. Investment in the cultural industry sector has reached 10 billion yuan, and the added value of the city’s culture industry is expected to account for 5% of the city’s total GDP this year.
 
Sanya’s cultural industry clusters are mainly under 6 scopes, featuring cultural tourism, conferences and exhibitions, entertainment performances, themed studios and leisure rehabilitation.
 
The Sanya government also launched financial support policies to boost the development of the cultural industry. Enterprises that base their headquarters in the city will be given certain rewards based on their operational scale and social influence.
