The organizing committee of the Sanya Destination Wedding Expo held a press conference on November 25th in Sanya to announce detailed information about the 2014 Sanya Destination Wedding Expo.

Leaders of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission and the Sanya Municipal Government, as well as media members from the Hainan Broadcasting Group, attended the conference.

Under the theme of ‘Take your love to Sanya’, the 2014 Sanya Destination Wedding Expo will be held from December 13th to 14th in the International Convention Center at the Mangrove Tree Resort World Sanya Bay.

During the conference, Mrs. Xv Zhenling, the Vice Mayor of Sanya, said that the 2013 Sanya Destination Wedding Expo had been a success and this year’s event will continue to serve as a platform for Sanya to show the very best that Sanya has to offer when it comes to weddings and honeymoons.

The event will highlight wedding celebration activities designed for new couples including honeymoon trips, wedding banquets, formal attire, wedding photography, decorations and wedding planning.

Last year, the first edition of the destination wedding expo drew hundreds of wedding couples and thousands of visitors. More than 100 professional wedding organizations and 40 well-known brand wedding enterprises from Sanya’s 10 major domestic tourist markets participated in the expo.

The international convention center, which was put into service this September, will embrace its first large-scale event activity. The convention center will help to boost Sanya’s diverse tourism resources with its comprehensive facilities, which include a 4,000-sqm art gallery, a 360-degree 3D panoramic screen, a 2,200-sqm wedding celebration square, a 40,000-sqm business street and a 33,000-sqm water park.
