According to a report released by Ctrip.com, a leading travel portal in China, Sanya, with its charming tropical scenery, has taken the top spot among the top three winter holiday destinations for Chinese holidaymakers.

In recent years, Sanya has become more and more popular as a winter destination for urban Chinese, whose interest in escaping the cold winter has been on the rise.

The top 10 domestic and overseas winter destinations were Sanya, Hong Kong, Korea, Harbin, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Xiamen, Hanghzou and Suzhou.

As the peak season is picking up, wedding and honeymoon travel to Sanya is now in vogue among the young Chinese generations of the post-80’s and 90’s.
