Hotel operators in Sanya are embracing the peak season by launching various specialized packages to lure more tourists to visit the tropical coastal city.

Tour packages targeting families have been highlighted by many hotels, including plenty of family activities and youth activities such as teen golf.

Golfing reservations through travel agencies are picking up following the Sanya Ladies Open in November. In order to meet the increasing demands, many hotels have launched attractive golf offerings to boost their occupancy rates.

The number of domestic tourists is expected to keep increasing. Statistics from the Sanya Tourism Development department show that the average hotel occupancy rate in the Yalong Bay region surpassed 70% and in Haitang Bay was nearly 60%.
