Sanya top destination among Beijing tourists during APEC holiday
Starting from November 6th, several airline companies reported their flights to Sanya were in short supply as air passengers leaving Beijing, especially for tourist destinations, have increased dramatically during the APEC holiday.
According to the data provided by Qunar.com, a leading travel portal in China, online bookings for Beijing-Sanya/Haikou travel tripled for the period from November 7th to 12th this year.
Sanya, with its clean air and tropical surroundings, has become more attractive to Beijing residents, as the inland capital is usually plagued by heavy smog during the winter months.
In Sanya, many tourism-related industries, including hotels, are promoting their products by giving discounts to Beijing residents during the APEC holiday
