With a long list of international brand hotels in operation or due to be built in Sanya, local brands in the hospitality sector remain optimistic that they will be able to compete with the fast-expanding luxury ones.

Many local hoteliers have achieved remarkable success in the hospitality industry over the past few years. This is reflected in their global perspective as well as the high levels of services they offer that are on par with those of the world’s high-end hotels.

Dadonghai is home to many local brands. Resort Intime Sanya, Shanhaitian Hotel, Pearl River Garden Hotel, and Baohong Hotel, in particular, are regarded as the ‘Holiday Paradise’ amongst Russian tourists.

More than half of local hotel operators, Tianfuyuan Resort, Yuhaiguoji, Shengyi Seaview Hotel, Golden Phoenix, etc in Sanya Bay and downtown areas have good reason to cater to the mid-range and low end markets.

With more luxury hotel brands sinking their footprint into its increasingly crowded coastline, these local hotels not only make full use of the advanced hotel management, but also are seeking ways to secure their presence in the market.

Some local hotels better understand Sanya’s culture and characteristics and would preserve these to support the island’s tourism. They would also optimize the use of local resources.
