Scenic cities with good air quality in China have become popular tourist destinations as most areas in the country are often dogged by smog. Sanya has become one of the most popular destinations in China to escape air pollution with its great air quality and warm winter climate.

Many travel agents in Sanya are launching “good air” tour programs to attract tourists from northern China. "We have received many elderly tourists from Beijing who chose to travel to Sanya to get away from the choking air,” said a manager at a Sanya travel agency.

According to the data provided by Qunar.com, a leading travel portal in China, inquiries on Sanya and Haikou travel jumped by 3 times on their website from November 7th to 12th this year.

Many scenic spots in Sanya, including Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone and Dongtian Park, are launching various tour packages in order to lure travelers, emphasizing the great air quality without increasing prices.
