The winter and spring season flight schedules introduced by Sanya Phoenix International Airport have encouraged more airline companies to increase their flights to Sanya for the winter-spring schedule.

China Southern Airlines confirmed that it will launch its new Wuhan-Liuzhou-Haikou and Wuhan-Zhanjiang-Sanya air service the new winter-spring schedule.

Besides, the company is also increasing flight frequencies on its existing routes including the Sanya-Shenyang-Jixi route (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and the Sanya-Nanchang-Shenyang Shenyang-Taiyuan-Sanya route (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday).

According to Ctrip.com, starting from October 26th, the number of daily flights from Beijing and Shanghai to Sanya will increase from 12 and 14 to 16 and 18, respectively.

Other airline companies, like Tianjin Airlines, will open a new round-trip Xi’an-Guiyang-Sanya route from October 28th.

According to the airport, the new winter-spring schedule plan will bring a total of 48,000 aircraft movements, handling a total of 7.5 million passengers.
