Haikou Railway Station is expecting to see a rise in passenger flow during the summer peak season, which starts on July 1 and ends on August 31.

During the two-month period, about 310,000 passengers, mainly college students on vacation and tourists, are expected to embark on trains at the station for summer vacation journeys.

The travel rush for college students is expected to occur in early July. A second travel rush is expected to last several days at the end of the summer vacation, starting from the end of August to early September.

Haikou Railway Station has been ordered to make full preparations for the expected surge in passenger flow. Ticket windows in the railway station will be added to provide convenience to travelers.
