The 2014 Tour of Hainan International Road Cycling Race, also called the Tour of Hainan, is being held from the 20th to the 28th of October this year. During the 9 day tour, the fifth and sixth stages of the competition will be carried out in Sanya on the 24th and 25th of October.

In order to ensure road safety and alleviate traffic congestion, the Sanya government has decided to impose traffic controls on the followings roads:

1. Traffic control on 24th October (Stage-5) From 11:30am-2:30pm, all vehicles will be banned from driving on Liupan Road (Yalong Bay Exit-Yalong Bay Ring-Island Road), Longxi Road, Longhai Road and National Highway 224 (Sanya-oriented section). One-way traffic control will be improved on the road sections of Jiyang Avenue, Tiandu Road and Yalong Bay.

2. Traffic control on 25th October (Stage-6) From 9:00am to 12:00pm, Yalong Bay Avenue (Yalong Bay Management Committee-Yalong Bay Ring-Island Road) and Tiandu Road (Yalong Bay Exit-Yalong Bay Railway Station) will be open only to eastbound traffic. Liupan Road will be closed to all vehicles.
