Due to the fact that more and more aging men have been swimming and sun-bathing nude on Sanya’s public beaches since this Spring Festival, the Sanya government recently went into action to stop citizens from partaking in this illegal behavior.
 
So far, 4 men have been detained for sunbathing or swimming nude at the public beaches in Sanya and refusing to put on their clothes. They were all detained for 10 days, in accordance with the relevant laws.
 
It has been reported that some of the nude sunbathers are suffering from skin diseases such as psoriasis, and need full-body sunbathing to relieve their symptoms. The policemen have given detailed explanations of the rectification action and relevant laws to nearly 300 patients, explaining that they are still required to swim and sunbathe on public beaches with clothes on.
 
Besides, the Sanya Public Security Bureau has equipped special cameras at Dadonghai Beach to monitor any illegal behavior. Up to now, more than 660 people have been stopped from swimming and sunbathing nude on Sanya’s public beaches.
