To prepare for the tourist peak during the 2014 National Day Holiday, major scenic spots in Sanya have planned ahead and calculated their biggest daily visitor capacity in advance.
According to the results of the calculation, the most comfortable daily carrying capacity of the Nanshan Scenic Spot is 80,000 people and its biggest daily capacity is 100,000 people. As soon as the daily tourist flow reaches 80,000 people, the Nanshan Scenic Spot authorities will start their contingency plan and begin evacuation procedures. When the daily tourist flow reaches 100,000 people, the Nanshan Scenic Spot will stop selling tickets. The Wuzhizhou Island Scenic Spot will also pay close attention to the tourist numbers and stop selling tickets as soon as the daily tourist flow exceeds 80,000 people.
Besides, during the golden week, a transportation contingency plan will be carried out at the roads leading to major scenic spots to solve traffic jam issues. Sanya is now seeing a boom in its car-rental industry with most firm’s cars having already been rented out in advance.
