With the 2014 New Year holiday approaching, Sanya is welcoming large numbers of family groups, self-driving tourists and foreign tourists. The hotel booking rate average for the National Day holiday reached 40.86% on September 27th and is still rising.

According to statistics released by the Sanya Holiday Office, the average hotel booking rate is still up 6.33%, given a 3.32% year-on-year increase in hotel guest room bookings. On the 3rd day of the National Day holiday, the hotel booking rate even reached 52.58%.

"The booking rate for our hotel is at 80% during the National Day holiday, and the figure is still rising,” said Chen Yandong, the General Manager of Wuzhizhou Island Resort Sanya Coral Hotel.

Experts from the Sanya tourism industry said tourists may get cheaper hotel booking prices if they choose to arrive in Sanya after October 4th.
