The annual Nanshan Longevity Culture Festival is set to kick off at the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone in Sanya on 2nd October, the “Double Ninth Day” of 2014, according to reports.
A number of activities have been scheduled for the festival, including mountaineering, large-scale cultural & art performances, a seminar on social sciences and senior citizen culture, and a photo exhibition of centenarians.
Meanwhile, people over 60 years of age and visitors who happen to be celebrating their birthday on that day can enjoy free tickets to the festival.
As the only tropical coastal tourism destination in the country, Hainan is blessed with an extremely pleasant climate and good ecological environment. To date, the Nanshan Longevity Culture Festival has been successfully held every year since 1999
