Sanya’s Haitang Bay was ranked as the China’s Best Scenic Spot by tourism bureaus around the world, according to the 2014 China Tourism Scenic Development Report published in Beijing recently.
 
The China Tourism Scenic Development Report is jointly conducted by China Tourism Academy and Global Traveler Magazine.
 
127 scenic spots across 29 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) have been involved in this nationwide questionnaire.
 
Other 3 scenic spots with the same honor on the list were Mission Hills Haikou Resort in Hainan, Shangri-La Pudacuo National Park in Yunnan and Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon in Tibet.
