The first Sanya International Poetry Festival will be held from October 13th-16th, according to a press conference held in Beijing on September 16th.

Themed of “Poetic Sanya, Romantic Sanya”, the festival will bring together many renowned poets and scholars from China, America, Sweden, Portugal and Russia.

The organizer chose Sanya to host this culture gala because it is the home of many famous poets who composed their famous pieces here.

During the 4-day festival, the participants will enjoy various stage performances and recitations. Other activities include a seminar on poetry and a poetry and creative writing event.
