Recently, hundreds of taxi and bus drivers in Sanya attended an oath-taking ceremony against malicious refusals to passengers launched by the Sanya Traffic Department and the Sanya Taxi Association.

They vowed to observe disciplines and offer first-rate services,l and avoid refusing to take passengers and ripping-off customers.

Taxi and bus drivers are an important part of Sanya city’s image. The Sanya Traffic Department demanded taxi and bus drivers commit to a high-quality service image among tourists.

At present, there are a total of 46 bus routes and 1,850 taxis running in the city, which is currently quite a small number to service the increasing amount of tourists. The thriving tourist market calls for an urgent need to upgrade the public transportation services in the city.
