3 large-scale tourism shopping sites in Hainan have recently put a greater focus on the credit management of the tourist industry with a new agreement signed with the Hainan Tourism Development Committee on September 12th.

The 3 shopping sites are the Haitang Bay Duty-free Shopping Center in Sanya, Capital Outlets, and Outlets Global Mall of Jewels & Treasures in Wanning.

The 3 shopping sites are recommitting themselves to honest business operations. The tourism enterprises will conduct fair and honest dealing and clearly mark the prices of commodities in accordance with the relevant regulations.

Meanwhile, the rate of commercial commissions paid to the travel agents is required to be no more than 5% of the commodities.

In order to ensure a good shopping environment for tourists, the Hainan government will continue to intensify its efforts to regulate the tourist market and strictly crack down on illegal price behavior on tourism shopping sites, including overcharging and customer-cheating.
