In order to help raise the public’s environmental awareness and give beachgoers an easy and convenient way to dispose of their trash, a large number of temporary garbage bins will be placed on Dadonghai Beach in Sanya during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The garbage bins will be placed every 20 meters on the beach.

Every Mid-Autumn Festival, the Sanya Environmental Sanitation Bureau dispatches a group of cleaning workers to collect the trash left on the beach after the moon-gazing event.

Besides, the bureau will hand out free garbage bags on the day to residents and tourists to encourage them to be more civic-minded. Residents can throw the bags into the garbage bins once they’re full.
