The Sanya Railway Station handled 623,000 passengers during the summer vacation (from July 1st to August 31st), a year-on-year increase of 6.4%.

The passengers mainly consisted of tourists, student passengers on vacation and people visiting their families.

According to Sanya Railway station, the peak period will last till September 10th this year.

To better serve passengers, the station has opened special ticket counters for college students and upgraded 10 ticket vending machines to cope with the student passengers’ travel demands.

Besides, tickets for taking trains from Hainan to mainland China are currently in very short supply, so be sure to purchase your tickets as soon as possible if you plan to travel during this period.
