Over 6.2 billion yuan was invested into over 160 projects in Haitang Bay in the first 7 months of this year, accounting for 37% of the annual total fixed-asset investments in the region.

So far, 32 projects have currently been completed this year, with the first batch of star-rated hotels already having opened.

Haitang Bay is one of the five major bays in Sanya. The others are Sanya Bay, Yalong Bay, Yazhou Bay and Dadonghai.

Among the 160 projects, 26 have been listed as key projects in the city that received an investment of 5.89 billion yuan in the first 7 months, accounting for 69% of the total investment.

The municipal key projects include the Haitang Bay Duty-free Shopping Center, Sofitel Sanya Haitang Bay, Shangri-la Sanya Resort & Spa Hainan, Mangrove Tree Haitang Bay, Atlantis Resort and the Sanya Financial Forum Center.
