To support the development of the 4 leading industries of tourism, hotels, aviation and cruises in Sanya, more subsidies will be given to these four industries by the Sanya government in 2014, according to the Sanya Tourism Development Commission.

Regular flights run by domestic and international airlines will be provided a subsidy of 24,000 yuan for each landing and/or take-off, flights between other Asian regions and Sanya will receive a subsidy of 28,000 yuan for each landing and/or take-off, and flights between other intercontinental regions and Sanya will receive a subsidy of 36,000 yuan for each landing and/or take-off.

In terms of hospitality, the financial subsidy given to newly opened hotels in Haitang Bay will pay for 50% of their sales and property taxes.

Meanwhile, the top 5 travel agencies that bring the most overseas tourists to Sanya will be granted a subsidy of 100,000 yuan each.

Tourism enterprises that partner with local tourism authorities to organize tourism promotion activities at the major tourist source markets from home and abroad will be granted a subsidy ranging from 100,000 yuan to 150,000 yuan. Besides, tourism enterprises that invite overseas travel agents and media to experience new tourism products in Sanya will receive a subsidy of no more than 200,000 yuan.

To boost the development of the local cruise industry, cruise companies which operate cruise liners with Sanya as their homeport for a full year will receive a subsidy of 50,000 yuan for each voyage. Besides, cruise liners which make Sanya their homeport for 3 months or more will be given a subsidy of 30,000 for each voyage.
