The expansion project of the road section from Phoenix Town to Haihong Road on Sanya Bay Road is nearing completion, and the road has been opened back up for traffic, greatly easing traffic jams during the rush hours.

In Sanya, Haihong Road is a major city road section. The reconstruction work started October 2013 and the project involved a total length of 1,517 meters. The road upgrade also includes landscaping, lighting and drainage engineering modifications.

Besides, the renovation work on the road section of Haihong Bridge and Haiyu West Line is expected to be completed this September.
