The 2014 Qingdao ‘Mayor Cup’ Sailing Regatta kicked off on August 16th. According to the relevant departments, this is the first time Sanya has organized a delegation to represent the city in the Qingdao ‘Mayor Cup’ Sailing Regatta.

The sailing competition attracted 9 sailing teams from Sanya, Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou to compete in the track races, distance races and round-the-island races.

As one of the important sports activities during the Qingdao International Sailing Week, the sailing event is expected to help promote the sport of sailing across the country.
