China Kweichow Moutai Winery (Group) Co., Ltd recently signed an agreement with the Sanya Haitang Bay Management Committee to acquire land in Haitang Bay for a resort project with a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan.

The project, a resort development in Haitang Bay, Sanya, will have a total land area of 300 acres including the planned construction area of 100,000 square meters. The project will consist of three different high-end hotels and a large-scale commercial center.

Haitang Bay is one of the key project areas under the "11th Five-Year plan" of Hainan province and one of the major tourism development areas listed in the State Council’s ‘Opinions on Propelling the Construction of Hainan’ paper as an International Tourism Destination.
