The relevant departments in Sanya are now seeking effective ways to protect the beach vegetation along Sanya Bay.

The greenbelt along Sanya Bay stretches a total length of 17.8 kilometers. However, excessive tourism in recent years and the crowds of tourists flooding to the greenbelt area has also caused environmental problems for the coastal landscape. Currently, only about 1 kilometer of beach vegetation, in an area near Haipo Village, has been well-preserved.

In order to protect the beach’s ecology and maintain order, the relevant departments are being advised to take new measures to restrict tourists, such as setting up restrictions on the daily number of tourists, establishing emergency plans during the travel peak season, and launching stricter traffic control on some road sections.

Meanwhile, the local government is also hoping to raise the public’s environmental protection awareness so as to make Sanya a perfect place for tourists and residents alike to enjoy their holidays and lives.
