Sanya has been transforming itself from a sightseeing-type destination into a leisurely holiday-spending destination, an effort that has already shown some positive results so far.

The city’s themed tourism products such as family tours, healthcare tours, wedding and honeymoon tours, and summer camp tours have all enjoyed rapid development this year.

These new tourism products have contributed to a rapid rise in local tourist reception levels and tourism revenue. In the first 6 months of this year, the number of tourists and the total tourism revenue reached 6.75 million and 15.2 billion yuan, up 11.04% and 16.67% over the same period last year, respectively.

Besides, a batch of emerging high-end and fashionable tourism products have been launched in the city, such as duty-free shopping tourism, low-altitude airspace tourism, cultural performances and cruise tours.
