Starting from July, the local Price Control Bureau has taken measures to promote the use of a price supervision system on the tropical fruit market in order to prevent tourists being ripped-off while in Sanya.

All the tropical fruit stalls are required to display their correct price tags and present a letter of commitment to not cheating customers in a prominent and clearly visible location.

As of July 28th, the government has distributed 2,490 price tags to 79 tropical fruit stalls in the Hedong and Hexi districts.

Any tropical fruit stalls failing to obey the rules will face business suspension and the possibility of punishment for law violations.

Sanya Yuan Lv Dao Specialty Fruit Store and Sanya Sunshine Specialty Fruit Supermarket have become two prominent examples for fruit-selling with clearly marked prices in Sanya.
